Aviation Justice Express - Tour across North America

In October 2011, UK organizers John Stewart and Dan Glass were invited to cross the US, sharing the real story of one of the biggest climate battles of the past decade.

British politicians and aviation lobbyists had no idea what was in store for them as they plotted to massively grow London’s Heathrow Airport, the busiest in Europe. Neighbors and climate activists fought to save homes and fight climate change, kicking off a 10-year campaign against the industry responsible for 13% of UK CO2. Learn how British direct action activists and conservative politicians teamed up to shut down Big Aviation’s plans to grow at any cost–environmental, social, economic.

However dan was never issued a visa because of his prior participation in peaceful civil disobedience and John's voice was suppressed by the FBI on arrival in the US. Widespread criticism has since challenged this suppression of freedom of speech. Dan then went on a parallel tour in Canada, and both he and his fellow speaker John spoke to US audiences via live videoconferencing.
