Hands Off Our Queen Caroline Homes

The campaign aims to challenge the local Council's social housing proposals to 'redevelop' Queen Caroline Estate. It's aims are to unearth what 'redevelopment' means and how residents will be affected on this Estate, to keep the community informed by questioning the decision makers throughout this process. It is not enough to say we will not be made homeless, we are challenging the fact that our Estate is already a decent neighbourhood and we will continue to challenge the negative way estate tenants are being presented in a derogatory manner and why our Estate is being made more run down by cuts in services. Our aim is to bring our community together to have a stronger voice and be heard loud and clear that we do not want our homes demolished, we want a say in the process. We have good homes already. It is also our aim to publicise every piece of information we find connected to the Council's plans for 'redevelopment' and for people to understand and challenge the present Council's Social Housing Policies and the wider implications this will present to all social housing.
