Working for a just and sustainable solution for both Palestinians and Israelis.

For many years I was a Christian Zionist – that means that I had a particular way of interpreting the Bible which basically means that the state of Israel needed to be established again and that it is only for the Jewish people. My views changed when I met a Palestinian for the first time who happened to be a Christian vicar! I didn’t even know that Christian Palestinians existed because I thought that all Palestinians were terrorists. Thus my life-changing journey began and as I learned more, my views altered dramatically. Now I am dedicated to working for the observance of international law and universal human rights. My focus is on helping to educate people about what is happening in Palestine and Israel and why this is a global issue which should concern us, even here in the UK.
Since 1999, I have been taking people on in-depth study tours to Palestine and Israel. The tours help to bring understanding of the nature of the Occupation and what must be done to achieve a just and sustainable peace for all people groups. Special interest tours are also facilitated for clinicians as we study health care in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
In 2004, I helped to found ICAHD UK which supports the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions which is based in Jerusalem. After serving as Chair, I was appointed Director in 2007. We work to stop Israel’s demolition of Palestinian homes which is illegal under the 4th Geneva Convention. Since 1967, more than 24,000 Palestinian homes have been demolished.
