Im a first time campaigner who has been heavly involved in the Glasgow Save Our Schools campaign, I'm a strong community activist and get invovled as much as I can in volenteer work. I am wife and mum of two and I also work full time in the NHS along with being a newly elected union representative in the workplace. I enjoy having drinks with friends and family when I can and spending time with my kids. I'm 29 years old and have spent most of my life volenteering in youth leadership, local brownie packs, community council and our local community development company. I began working to save our school in Barmulloch Glasgow in jan 09 as this school not only taught my daughter but also my father, sister and me over the years. This school is the heart of our small community and taking it away has devasted the people of Barmulloch. Our campaign is still going strong even though the schools have closed we are still fighting legal battles that may help us gain new schools within our communities across the city and while there is still a chance I will not give in.
