A massively historical building needs our help, The Falcon Tavern has served Huntingdon for 500 years, it was used by Oliver Cromwell yet has been neglected and forgotten!! Huntingdon wants it back!

I started my campaign as a Facebook page on the 30th Jan this year, I was concerned that a huge part of my home towns heritage was being left to rot and I wanted to know if anyone else shared my concerns. Within the first week I had 100 followers on the page, within 3 weeks I had 350 and so it began! Since then SAVE The Falcon, Huntingdon has launched on Twitter and several local websites, the Facebook page now has 450 followers, been followed by local press for months and featured in local papers 8 weeks running, I have had 3 live radio interveiws, gathered full support from my local MP and Civic Society, built close communication links with all those with power and gathered just short of 1,500 signatures on petitions. The Falcon Tavern is steeped in history both relevant to Huntingdon and the nation and it should not be left to fall into desperate disrepair, it should be renovated and put back within our community as the social centre it has been for the last 500 years and always should be!!
