Energy Saving Day (E-Day) will taking place on the Isles of Scilly in October and build on the lessons learned during E-Day (2008).

I have a PhD in Australian ecology, helped George Monbiot to write a book called "Heat" and recently spent a year and half organising a awareness raising project for BBC Comedy called Planet Relief.

My other campaign is called Ban The Bulb (www.banthebulb.org).

This campaign has successfully called for the phasing out, taxing and banning of domestic incandescent light bulbs and their replacement with more energy efficient alternatives. The EU has recently passed a law which will start banning domestic incandescent light bulbs in every one of the EU's 27 member states from September 2009.
